It was just now that the couple announced their engagement on social media. The wedding, that is to be held summer of next year is believed to be ONE of many other weddings in 2022. A close source to the couple says it is going to be enchanted and over the top.
"No expenses spared for these 2 lovey, dovey hummingbirds."
The Duchess and Prince Charming are living together with their dog Tyson Featherbottom III in central Dublin and have been going steady for several years now.
Preparations are underway in full 1920´s swing and will have the under- middle and overtones of le Classique elegance that will tempt the senses.
The planning is way on the way for their over-the-top jamboree and the couple are very excited for a great year to come and many happy ever afters...
So, there you have it. I am getting married.
The very reason I moved to Ireland has come true. I have found my lobster and our life together is about to start for real and we are doing it with pomp and circumstance.
Now, when they say you need to book a venue a year ahead, they were not kidding. More than one locations were already fully booked for our date, so if your partner has gotten down on one knee, take that ring and flee... straight for your device and book book book. Just don´t forget to say Yes before you do.
There are a million and one different ways how to plan a wedding. Depending on if you want it big or small, local or abroad, or if you have a super busy schedule or having too much time on your hands. I am a control freak and would be the ideal candidate to plan everything myself... but I won´t and I shan´t.
My husband-to-be on the other hand is the complete opposite and not enthusiastic about planning in general. So, the coupley thing to do was to agree on handing over the biggest part of planning our massive love party to a third party - a wedding coordinator, that will take care of the after-party venue, food and drinks... the rest is up to us.
The Ceremony Venue
Seek and you will find!
Google, Google, Google and then Google some more. Finding the perfect place for our ceremony was Nr. 1 on our list... I did spend hours online literally searching for "beautiful wedding venues in Dublin".
The list was long so it was really down finding THE place that symbolizes us both - theatre, history and archaeology. What a dream getting married in an old theatre with its history... And yes, it is happening. I found it! A little jewel in the middle of the city center: Smock Alley Theater 1662, the only Theatre Royal ever to be built outside the great walls of London. Nestled on the banks of the River Liffey in a quiet part of Temple Bar, Its foundations lie in the oldest part of Dublin city where raging battles between Celtic settlers and marauding Vikings once took place...
Moving on to the after-party. This is where the dough should go if you ask me. Not the dress, not the flowers but the four walls that will whisper stories of what went on inside them for centuries to come. We have chosen The Merrion Hotel - a 5-star hotel and the birthplace of Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington.
Yes, a dress can make you feel like a princess, but adding on this fantastic establishment that has the interior of a castle, THAT is what is going to make me feel like a princess for a day!
The guests will be greeted with a grand welcome and just like in the movies we will make our entrance down big stairs with chandeliers... I have always dreamt of making an entrance via grand stairs. Like Rose when she met Jack by the clock.
