Tabula rasa!

A Latin phrase meaning "blank slate".
To me it means starting over and that is what this blog is gonna be all about - starting life a new!

For some starting over can mean changing the way you eat, exercise more or change once cognitive behaviour. 
I have tried all of the above... several times... but it always ended me up flat on my back. 
I have fought myself out of depression, anorexia, never finding my one true love, stagnation, captivity and bitterness... and still... no happiness?!
Like a character from a video game you goof around with, I have been bumping into that concrete wall over and over and over again not understanding why I could not get anywhere. Until that very same wall came tumbling down on me.

My revelation came then and there. Pinned down in a dark, impenetrable hole I "saw the light". 
Now, I am not a believer in God per say, but something finally opened my eyes. A voice screamed at the top of its lungs - Why are you not listening?!
It was me... me screaming at myself from deep within. 
It hit me and I woke up... but it hit me hard. 
Through the tears I shed that day everything finally looked so clear. I knew what I had to do!

Can something really make you see yourself more clearer than looking into a mirror? Apparently, yes!
You can love it and it can love you back, but mine was just reflecting me like a mirror ought to do, mirrored! 
So, I broke it! Seven years of bad luck ahead? 
Well bring it on! Like the bird Phoenix I will rise from the ashes and until that day, when the flames will consume me once more, I will fly! 
How many chances do you get?
How often can Halley's Comet be seen roaring over the sky from the planet Tellus? 
Every 75 years! 


Now is my time to take my chance and fulfil my biggest dream... I am emigrating! 
Yep! Leaving it all behind! Starting life a new on an Emerald Isle where, to me, anything is possible! 
With my magic quill and ink I am going to fill my new, empty pages with stories, adventures, cultural clashes and hopefully some well used tips along the way and to hopefully inspire or just bring out a smile or some laughs.

So jump on board Duchess Airlines, we are heading for Dublin!

Losing your teeth  -  feeling of powerlessness and loss of control, losing something, like a job or a relationship. Your are naked in public  - a fear of being found out and exposed over your activities or feel that someone is misjudging you. Drowning  - fear of  being overwhelmed by your worries and emotions, struggling with something in your personal or professional life, having a conflict with someone or fighting for your own survival. Dreams, or head movies, are for some a means by which the brain processes emotions, memories and information that has been absorbed throughout the waking day. For others, they have a deeper meaning, a sign or a premonition of something that is to happen and some wake up with no memory of dreaming at all. I rarely dream, but when I do it is usually the same one.
